People do many different things to cope with stress, loss, and "bumps in the road". How do you handle stress and hard times?

It depends on the situation, really. I can be pretty good at multi-tasking and juggling multiple activities- I procrastinate when it comes to school stuff but I always get it done and done well. I guess I work pretty well under pressure. But I'm different when it comes to multiple important situations occurring in my life at the same time such as moving, working and traveling- sometimes I'm just not myself and sometimes I cry randomly or take it out on the wrong person, which I hate. I definitely require 8 hours of sleep and quiet time to maintain my cheery attitude. I can fake it for a while but if I'm under stress for a long time (like a week or so, coupled with sleep deprivation...) then I can have a melt down. This summer has been pretty crazy but for the most part, I've handled it well and enjoyed myself.
I like routines. I like planning things out and knowing what I am going to do- I make schedules and to-do lists. I can handle some spontaneity but I prefer to have control. When I was in Costa Rica, I didn't have much control and things weren't extremely well planned. We wasted a lot of time wandering and trying to get places and that frustrated me very much. I need to learn to go with the flow more.
